The Computer Society of the Ateneo envisions itself as a community of Ateneans driven to improve the quality of lives through a common passion for Information Technology.
Mission
CompSAt seeks to learn IT through seminars and trainings, to use IT by rendering services to individuals and organizations inside and outside of Ateneo community, and to share IT through tutorials and outreach programs while promoting camaraderie and teamwork through interaction and exchange of ideas.
Objectives
CompSAt seeks:
- To gain recognition as the home organization of Computer Science majors and as the premier computer organization in Ateneo;
- To foster camaraderie and efficient working relationships among entities internal and external to CompSAt through its various activities;
- To develop IT awareness and competence by providing not only its members but also interested individuals with training useful in their future IT endeavors;
- To conceptualize and develop innovative projects, programs, and software for the best interests of its adherents;
- To provide computer literacy programs for individuals or groups lacking in resources;
- To develop software for use by other Ateneo organizations and to provide services for the enhancement of the existing computer systems in and out of Ateneo; and
- To uphold the accreditation status of CompSAt.
